DAY 02
ASWAN CRUISE

Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Cairo Airport for Domestic flight to Aswan. Arrive Aswan and transfer to board our 5 star Luxury fleet Moon River Cruise.

Visit the High Dam, located near Aswan, the world famous High Dam was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. A huge rock fill dam which captures the world's longest river, the Nile River, in the world's third largest reservoirs, Lake Nasser. The dam, known as Saad el Aali in Arabic, was completed in 1970 after ten years of work. Today it provides irrigation and electricity for the whole of Egypt and, together with the old Aswan Dam built by the British between 1898 and 1902, 6km down river, makes wonderful views for visitors.

Later visit the Unfinished Obelisk. Aswan has always been known as being the main source for granite that was used to build obelisks for temples all over the country. This obelisk if completed, would have been the tallest standing at about 42 metres high. The legend goes that during construction the workers noticed problems and just abandoned future construction.
After the tour, transfer back to Cruise. Dinner & Overnight on Cruise. (PHILAE TEMPLE IS NOT INCLUDED)

DAY 03
KOM OMBO (CRUISE)
Morning after breakfast on the Cruise.
Felucca Sail on the Nile. Experience a relaxing trip on the Nile on a Felucca. Sail along the Nile whilst enjoying the beautiful sights of Aswan. Feluccas are the traditional sailboats found on Egypt's Nile River. The Felucca has remained, over the centuries, the primary transportation of the Nile. Its ancient form still graces the river as it has done since the time of the Pharaohs.

Noon sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Sobek and Horus.
Kom Ombo stands by the Nile just south of Gebel el-Silsila, between Aswan and Edfu, at the site of the ancient city of Per Sobek (the estate of Sobek). The Temple of Sobek and Horus the Elder is an unconventional temple in that it is dedicated to two triads of deities; Sobek, Hathor and their child Khonsu, and Horus the Elder (Heru-ur or Haroeris), Tasenetnofret ("the good sister") and their child Panebtawy (the Lord of the Two Lands). Sobek and Horus the Elderare the two primary gods, and so the temple was also known as "House of the Crocodile" (Sobek) and "Castle of the Falcon" (Horus). After the tour back to the cruise.
We continue sailing towards Edfu. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight on the Cruise.

DAY 04
EDFU (CRUISE)
Early morning, visit the Horus Temple in Edfu in Horse carriage.
The Temple of Horus in Edfu (also known as the Temple of Edfu) is considered the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. This partly because it was built later than most: in the Ptolemaic era from 237 to 57 BC.The temple is dedicated to the Falcon god, Horus.
After the trip back to the cruise
Breakfast on arrival. Continue sailing in the Nile towards Luxor. Lunch, Dinner and Galabeya Party. Overnight on the Cruise.

DAY 05
LUXOR
After breakfast we check out from the Cruise to visit the Valley of Kings.
The Valley of the Kings was the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, and is located on the west bank at Luxor. The only entrance to this place was a long narrow winding path. This was a secret place, where sentries were placed at the entrance of the Valley, as well as along the top of the hills, in the hopes of discouraging tomb robbers, who had in the past plundered all royal tombs, including the treasures of the Pyramids!
You will visit the great mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut built out of the rock with terraces and colonnades, and pass by the Colossus of Memnon which was erected in the honor of the pharaoh Amenophis.
After lunch we visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Marvel at the magnificent and monumental massiveness of Karnak and Luxor Temple, temples that need to be seen to be believed!
Luxor Temple is the "Hundred Gated" Temple of Thebes, built by two kings, Amenophis III and Ramses II during the Middle Kingdom Period (2050-1652 BC). The Temple includes royal courts surrounded by pairs of Papyrus-bunded columns, sanctuaries and chapels full of wall designs, inscriptions and sacrificial screens.
Also visit Karnak Temple, the biggest temple complex in the world, covering an area of 100 hectares and there is no where more impressive to the first-time visitor.
A whole city of Temples which engrave upon your mind an image of vastness and monumental massiveness unequaled in all the sights of ancient Egypt. Here the dimensions are unmistakably superlative.
